A02 - Final Submission


Min. Drawings Required for A02-D:

All drawings will be a combination of rendering and line drawing.

  • Elevations : 4 (each side)
  • Top View / Plan View: 1 - (draw section lines in plan view)
  • Sections: 2 - (transverse & longitudinal)
  • Axon Views: 2 (use parallel lines)
  • Detail / Perspective Render: 1 minimum (does not need to be to scale)
    • experiment with shadows, reflectivity, transparency, or any other details

Layout:

  • 12" x 36" or 14" 36 - 2 Artboards
  • Printed and Digital

Notes for A02-D:


  • All drawings/renderings need to be to scale. Have scale listed. 
  • Sections should have a ground, feel free to extend it to emphasize section. Label heights for sections and elevations.
  • All drawings must have your name either on bottom right or bottom left. Justified right or left.

Process Diagrams / Drawings:

  • 1 - 3 images of selected building
  • Final collage images (list out any ideas or concepts)
  • All Schemas (labeled)
  • Final combined schema (needs to be most prominent)
  • Final tectonic drawing (any process drawings or details also need to be included)
  • List any rules, guidelines, formation steps, or any other relevant concepts or details

Post-Production Notes:

  • Adjust your line weights, do not have any drawings with the same line weight over the entire drawing. We want these to look like final products, not just for a basic pinup. 
  • Use simple, clean fonts. No curvy fonts. Make fonts legible as if your drawing was to be presented in a gallery. No small fonts but no overblown large fonts either.

Assessment:
This board is not only supposed to show your completion of the assignment but you will also be assessed on composition of board, creativity of board, use of text, line weights quality of images, quality of print, and your initiative to go beyond the minimum requirements.

Final Boards (Printed and PDF) due on Thursday October 25, 2012 at 12:30 PM. PDF uploaded to Dropbox by 2:00 PM.

All other previous assignment files, printed or digital, are due by 5:00 PM on Wednesday October 24, 2012.
